If we cannot resolve the matter between us, consumers in Malta may refer the complaint to:

  • The Office for Consumer Affairs at the MCCAA, which offers free conciliation, and the Consumer Claims Tribunal for claims within its jurisdiction.
  • The European Consumer Centre Malta (ECC Malta), for cross-border disputes with traders elsewhere in the EU.

We are not obliged, and do not commit, to participate in proceedings before a consumer arbitration body, but we will consider alternative dispute resolution on a case-by-case basis.

Note: the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 under Regulation (EU) 2024/3228 and is no longer available.

Consumers purchasing from PleasureMalta benefit from the protections set out in:

  • EU Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, including the right of withdrawal within 14 days of receiving goods
  • EU Directive 2019/771 on the sale of goods, including statutory warranty rights for two years
  • The Consumer Affairs Act (Chapter 378 of the Laws of Malta)
